LBT Inc. Products
Heres a good look at the ingenious design, maintenance friendly construction, and industry premium features that are standard on LBT tanks:
Petroleum Tanks
Thicknesses
- Barrel thicknesses on standard models are 0.186 with 0.220 bellies.
- End heads and single bulkheads are 0.250, double bulkheads are 0.186.
- Baffles range from 0.186 to 0.275 depending on location within the vessel.
Compare these thicknesses with the competition and you will begin to understand why LBT tanks are tough!
Extrusions
- Our bolster, cross-brace and outrigger extrusions are tailored to the location on the tank and three different thicknesses are used.
- Our cross-braces are deep and together with the outriggers form the strongest barrel cradle in the industry.
- Support components, trim components and fasteners are designed to withstand rigorous operating conditions.
Chassis
- Chassis frames are constructed out of heavy-duty aluminum extrusions and plate and are attached to the tank with stainless steel and aluminum bolting brackets.
- For the utmost in durability, stainless steel chassis frames are offered and are a popular option.
Bumpers
- Stainless steel DOT compliant bumpers and aluminum air tanks come standard on all gas tanks.
- Bumpers are equipped with a bolted on aluminum channel overlay for ease of repair and maintenance.
Fenders
- All fender brackets are bolted on.
- Splashguard brackets are stainless steel and are not attached to the fenders for ease of maintenance.
- Our proprietary fenders are roll-formed and ribbed for superior strength and attractive appearance.
Upper Couplers
- Upper couplers plates have deep cross-members and heavy-duty cross-head kingpins welded in place.
Sumps
- Our sumps are a heavy-duty drawn aluminum plate design installed with two full pass separated welds.
Piping
- Piping systems are made from drawn over mandrel pipes with gentle long radius bends and a minimum of weld joints.
- This assures full flow and rapid discharge rates.
Compare our piping systems to the competition and see the difference!
Premium Features
- LED lights are standard and are enclosed in aluminum boxes throughout, not just at the rear.
- Hendrickson Intraax air ride suspensions
- Haldex Trailer Roll Stability system
- Walther Dura-Light hubs
- Gold Seal brake chambers
- Viton sump and flange gaskets
- Aluminum wheels with (4) polished
- Armor Coated support legs
Dry Bulk Tanks
Our dry bulk trailers have many standards that surpass the industry norm!
Frames/Struts
- Heavy duty welded steel end frame and strut assemblies are offered as well as welded aluminum end frame and strut assemblies for lighter tare weight and reduced paint maintenance.
Bolsters
- Small cube heads are bolstered with ½ thick aluminum plates.
Bracing
- Vessels have full ring type internal bracing with reinforcing plates at the hopper apexes.
Fenders
- Fender brackets are bolted on with the splashguards separate from the fenders, a maintenance plus.
- Our proprietary fenders are roll-formed and ribbed for superior strength and attractive appearance.
Upper Couplers
- Upper couplers plates have deep cross-members and heavy-duty cross-head kingpins welded in place.
Manholes
- Each model has (1) manhole per hopper for ease of loading in various situations.
Valves
- 6 product discharge valves are standard with 4 discharge piping.
- The 6 valves provide a design ready for conversion to 5 piping with minimal effort.
- Individual aeration control valves at each hopper are standard.
- Aerators with straight outlets are the standard and popular optional hopper outlets include gravity drops, swing-aways and air pads.
Piping
- Air piping systems are made from drawn-over-mandrel seamless pipe with gentle long radius bends and a minimum of weld joints.
Premium Features
- Pressure gauges are housed in an aluminum cabinet with a lamp.
- LED lights are standard and are enclosed in aluminum boxes throughout, not just at the rear.
- Hendrickson Intraax air ride suspensions
- Haldex Trailer Roll Stability system
- Walther Dura-Light hubs
- Gold Seal brake chambers
- Aluminum machine finished wheels
- Armor Coated support legs
Portable Storage Units
The LBT design portable storage unit is the workhorse of the construction and oil field industries.
Weight Rating
- Rated for 400,000 pounds total gross weight (500,000 pounds with optional ten support legs) it can be equipped to easily handle large loads of cement and barite.
Support
- Support pads cover an impressive 48 square feet of surface (60 square feet with ten support legs) for stability on soft terrain.
- The jack screw legs are 3-1/2 diameter with square thread for rugged, durable operation.
Dust Shields
- Dust shields are standard equipment for stationary field service.
Outlets
- Outlets are 26 effective diameter (30 overall diameter) fabric air pads.
Ladder
- The ladder is removable and the only access port is on top for safe unattended operation.
Piping
- Discharge piping is 5 steel schedule 40 with 6 product discharge valves.
- Two load lines are standard, one at front and one at rear.
Blowdown Line
- The rear blowdown line is extended to ground level.
Paint
- All exterior steel surfaces are prepped and painted with premium cement gray paint.
Asphalt Tanks
Our asphalt tank standard features are the best in the industry.
Vessel Construction
Aluminum:
- The aluminum barrel model is a full 7500 gallons nominal capacity plus 2% outage for 7650 gallons shell full capacity.
- Heads and baffles are 0.250 thick aluminum dished and flanged.
- Compare our maximum loading temperature of 400 degrees F. to the competition.
- The standard aluminum model is equipped with a stainless steel chassis frame, stainless steel bumper, aluminum air tanks and aluminum machine finished wheels.
Steel:
- The steel barrel model is 7000 gallons nominal capacity plus 5% outage for 7350 gallons shell full capacity.
